Recruiting a Freelance Administrator
The Radford Charitable Trust is looking for a Freelance Administrator (8 hrs/week) to support our work providing grants and loaning instruments to young people in Cornwall.
What you’ll do:
- Be the first point of contact for families, teachers, and donors
- Process and track grant and instrument loan applications
- Support our trustees with meetings, reporting, and record-keeping
- Manage financial admin (including Gift Aid and accounts)
- Care for our instrument library — from organising loans to arranging repairs
- Keep our website up to date and spread the word about what we do
What we’re looking for:
- Strong admin and organisational skills
- Great written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Numeracy skills and attention to detail
- A professional, approachable manner and ability to work independently
- Ideally based in Cornwall, or strong connections within Cornwall
- An interest in music, experience in education, or working with children would be a bonus
- Ability to drive in order to deliver/collect instruments from time to time
The role
Freelance, 8 hours per week (all year round – not term-time only).
Salary: £24,000–£26,000 FTE (£4,800–£5,200 pro rata).
